Mentoring and
Discipleship Programs
Sozo Services provides customized mentor-protégé programs
for Christian business owners and executives, and spiritual discipleship
programs for those who are new in their walk with the Lord. As
iron sharpens iron, we are called to nurture each other to full
maturity (Proverbs 27:17). For the Christian business owner,
this mentor-protégé relationship can only be provided
by another mature Christian with business ownership and leadership
experience.
Our mentoring services are tailored to the commercial marketplace
challenges that owners and corporate executives face on a daily
basis. Many Christian executives need assistance in finding
and maintaining a solid Christian walk, balancing the demands
of serving the Lord amid family responsibilities, while achieving
corporate goals, meeting payroll, providing a secure future for
their employees, and keeping church and ministry commitments.
One of the challenges that business owners and corporate executives
face, is that they frequently do not have anyone to turn to when
they need ministry. They are constantly being asked to minister
to others, but there is no one to minister to them. It
is impossible to pour out to others, the spiritual strength which
is not contained in yourself, and therefore Jesus told his disciples
to come apart to Himself, so that He could refresh them (Mark
6:31). As Paul mentored Timothy, Elijah mentored Elisha,
and Moses mentored Joshua, each of us needs a mature spiritual
confidant to help nurture us and provide godly wisdom in times
of need. In fact, God has made us to be relational creatures
after His own image and likeness. Ultimately, Christian
business leaders cannot succeed and mature outside of Christian
fellowship, just as a branch cannot survive outside of the vine
(John 15:4-5).
We also provide discipleship programs that are geared towards
new converts and those that are young in the Lord. For
businesses that are helping to lead their employees to the Lord,
this assists in ensuring that new Christians are nurtured as
they learn to walk with the Lord and the leading of His Holy
Spirit, and develop the spiritual disciplines of daily Bible
reading, finding and attending a church, being faithful in prayer,
and fulfilling the Great Commission (Mark 16:15-18). It
is only by the putting off of the old man and renewing our minds
(Ephesians 4:23) that we learn to grow from glory to glory in
our walk with the Lord.
